Feedback to Kingsoft Office/WPS Office for Linux.

Hi,
I added icons for the Linux Kingsoft Office.

For this I installed the free Windows-Version in CrossOver (a WINE-distribution). That creates on Linux desktop-icons, which could be used for the Linux-KSO.

To generate desktop-symbols with it, here are three templates for the "Desktop"-directory in your home-directory.
The files are called "Kingsoft+Spreadsheets.desktop", "Kingsoft+Writer.desktop" and "Kingsoft+Presentation.desktop".

You have to change the part "[your icon-directory]" with the directory where you have put the icons and "[your KingsoftOffice-directory]" with the path, where KSO is installed.

Kingsoft+Spreadsheets.desktop
Code: Select all
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=Application
Icon=/[your icon-directory]/wps/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/et.png
Exec=/[your KingsoftOffice-directory]/et %u
Name=Kingsoft Spreadsheets
Comment=Use Kingsoft Spreadsheets to analyze and manage data.

Kingsoft+Writer.desktop
Code: Select all
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=Application
Icon=/[your icon-directory]/wps/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/wps.png
Exec=/[your KingsoftOffice-directory]/wps %u
Name=Kingsoft Writer
Comment=Use Kingsoft Writer to write reports and make up articles.

Kingsoft+Presentation.desktop
Code: Select all
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Type=Application
Icon=/[your icon-directory]/wps/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/wpp.png
Exec=/[your KingsoftOffice-directory]/wpp %u
Name=Kingsoft Presentation
Comment=Use Kingsoft Presentation to edit and play presentations.

I don't get it, I already have those icons by default? (Linux Mint 15)
Got it, I have to say that I use "Linux Mint" and I have the option (cinnamon dekstop) to pin it to my desktop.
So all the magic is done automatically 8-)
Hi friend

Do you use green package?

We already have icons in deb and rpm.
:)

I used the tar.xz-package, because for deb and rpm you need root-right to install it.
And I prefer to install most programs as possible with user-rights (catchword/keyword: portable apps).
