Running Manjaro Linux (based on Arch), which font's do I have to install to get rid of this message?
These fonts are used to display math formula, you can copy them from somewhere such as a Windows machine and install them to you Linux. One of WPS user have packed these fonts into .deb/.rpm package, download it here:
http://bbs.wps.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthr ... 6181393414 (download from the box.com link)

when I install it on my Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu software center has issued a warning, just ignore it.

this package installed the following files on my laptop:

/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/MTEXTRA.TTF
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/WINGDNG2.TTF
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/WINGDNG3.TTF
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/symbol.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/webdings.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/symbol-fonts/wingding.ttf
I have update our faq.
Now you can get there fonts from here:

Thanks, I downloaded those fonts and created a quick PKGBUILD for Arch and installed them, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo ... _a_package

Links are broken again, can someone fix that ?
It would be nice to include those in the main .deb installer as there are not too heavy and that would make WPS nicer to install.
I am replying to this topic in 2015 because this is the most sought thread when any kingsoft/wps office user gets the symbol fonts error at startup, especially for ubuntu/linux users. No one is able to easily get hold of those fonts which are to be manually installed on ubuntu/linux distros in order to correct working of symbols and bullet points.

So here i present the link to all the required fonts, this solved my problem, hope it solves your's too.

Code: Select all

All you need to do is install them using a font installer, which can be installed from the software center if not installed already.
